CardioReady® Announces Formation of Medical Advisory Board
Distinguished Group of Physicians Led by Eminent Cardiothoracic Surgeon
TOMS RIVER, NJ - August 3, 2006 - CR Certification Corporation ("CardioReady"),
the leading certification authority for cardiac emergency programs including the use of
Automated External Defibrillators ("AEDs"), has announced the formation of the
ardioReady Medical Advisory Board. The Board will be chaired by nationally renowned cardiothoracic surgeon
Richard N. Edie, M.D., former Professor and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA.
"We are pleased that Dr. Edie has agreed to serve as the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board,
as well as being a Member of the CRCC Board of Directors," noted Norman L. Norris,

healthcare professionals to ensure that the CardioReady certification program is current, relevant,

The thrust of the CardioReady Medical Advisory Board is to provide guidance and information
concerning medical studies, advancements in technology, trends in health care, legislation,
and events for consideration by the CRCC Board of Directors in advancing the mission and
objectives of the CardioReady initiative. In addition to Dr. Edie, Advisory Board members include:
Jack P. Carey, M.D. - Former Chairman of the Division of
Neurosurgery at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland and
staff member of Chambersburg and Waynesburg Hospital in Pennsylvania.
Thomas F. Claffey, M.D., FACP - Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Maine Medical
Center in Portland and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
Raffaele Corbisiero, M.D. - Director of Electromechanical Therapy Institute and Section Chief,
Electrophysiology and Pacing for Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mill, NJ.
James H. Gault, M.D. - Former Chief of the Cardiology Division of the Pennsylvania State University
School of Medicine and founder of the cardiac program at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
J.J. Keyser, M.D., MBA, FACS - Former Chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Morristown
Memorial Hospital and member of the Board of Directors of Interplast.
